   they got the idea for True Blood from the Southern Vampire Mysteries Novels by Charlaine(spelling) Harris. They are often refferred to as the Sookie Stackhouse Novels and they were out awhile before Twilight the book was released.

    Wow, learn to spell and maybe we’ll take you seriously. When I glanced at your comment, my eyes started to bleed. Poor English language! You stated that Bram Stoker created vampires? No he did not. He simply put a story of a vampire on film. No single person actually “invented” vampires. Who came up with fairies, werewolves, elves, satyrs, and many other mystical creatures? Not one single person. They were passed down through stories of oral tradition.

    Okay lemme settle this.
    Twilight is the ass end of the Vampire world, if you can even call that second-rate, scraping bottom of the barrel shit of Stephanie Meyer’s a vampire book.
    True Blood is hot and awesome, no questions asked.
